Description

'The Charroux-TB67' 67" Cast Iron Chariot Tub with PURE METAL Tempered Brass Exterior and Drain

Our inspiration to manufacture this gorgeous bathtub came from an original Chariot tub produced by the French company Rogeat in Lyon, France around 1850.
To intersect with today's bathing expectations, we did make it several inches wider than the original. We also made the ends slope a little more than the original as we felt that today's bathers would prefer a little more recline at the back for additional comfort. This is a truly stunning deep bathtub that will be the absolute centerpiece of any spa retreat bathroom.

This is our fabulous Tempered Brass version. This tub has a pure brass coated and polished exterior that is then heated to form the beautiful colors and patterns seen on this wonderful bathtub. It has a thick cast iron center and a high gloss, high grade enameled interior. The tempered brass is not a living finish and will alter only very slightly over its' lifetime.

The brass is applied to the tub exterior as it exits the mold portraying natural, interesting and unique mold markings which truly enhance the beauty of the tub. The heating process alters the colors of the brass.
