Finishing
The exterior appearance is that of an old copper tub that has become verdigris patinated over a few decades of life. To achieve this, Penhaglion first applied three coats of metallic copper coating on top of an epoxy primed exterior. Using specially prepared aging solutions, a natural looking verdigris effect is created. To protect the surface, four layers of high grade clear lacquer are applied to the finish. None of the patina can then stain floors or clothing and exterior cleaning is made very simple by using just a soft cloth.
